Claude training for teams
Claude Training for Teams: Syllabus, Formats and Setup in Your Own Workspace
For US teams that bought Claude seats and want real work out of them. We teach Claude from first prompts to Skills and connectors, then leave your Projects and Skills running in your account.
Claude training that ends with Claude configured, not just explained
Most Claude training for business stops at the chat window. Teams watch a demo, learn a few prompt tips and maybe build one Project in a sandbox. Few courses cover Skills, connectors or Cowork, and almost none set anything up in the client's own account.
Operator Intelligence (OI) teaches Claude the way your team will use it: inside your Claude workspace, on your documents, against your real tasks. By the last session, each team has working Projects and Skills, an approved set of connectors and a prompt library it helped write. We work with lean $1M–$10M companies and select Fortune 1000 teams, with no large-cohort minimum.
The Claude training syllabus: six modules
Modules build on each other. Durations are typical and adjust to your team; the first four modules add up to about a full day, and most teams take those. Cowork and Claude Code are added where the work calls for them.
| Module | Typical duration | What you cover | What you build |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Claude fundamentals and the 4Ds | 2 hours | How Claude works, chat versus Project, and the 4D AI Fluency Framework (Delegation, Description, Discernment, Diligence), developed by Anthropic with Rick Dakan and Joseph Feller | A personal map of the tasks in your week worth delegating |
| 2. Claude Projects | 2 hours | Project instructions that hold your rules, knowledge files that stay current, sharing across the team | One team Project on a real workflow |
| 3. Claude Skills | 2 hours | Packaging repeatable procedures, such as a report format, brand style or QA checklist, as Skills Claude loads when a task calls for them | One or two tested Skills |
| 4. Connectors and MCP | 1.5–2 hours | Connecting Claude to your tools through connectors and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard Anthropic introduced; permissions, admin approval and least-privilege access first | An approved connector list and one connector live on a real task |
| 5. Cowork | 1.5 hours | Delegating multi-step work on chosen files and folders in the Claude desktop app, then reviewing the result before it ships | One delegated task, such as a weekly report pack built from source files |
| 6. Claude Code for non-developers | 2–3 hours | Cleaning data, reshaping files, building small internal tools and automating repetitive tasks, with review habits from day one | One small script or internal tool your team will reuse |
Claude training formats, delivery and group size
Every format runs virtually over live video or on-site at your office, and virtual sessions are usually split into two-hour blocks. Group sizes are typical guidance: hands-on build modules work best in groups of about 8–15, so everyone leaves with something working.
| Format | Typical length | Delivery | Typical group size | What's configured |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Claude workshop for business | Half day or full day | Virtual or on-site | One team, up to about 25 | A shared team Project and a starter prompt library |
| Claude team rollout | 2–4 weeks | Virtual sessions, optional on-site kickoff | Cohorts of 8–25, split into smaller build groups | Projects, Skills, approved connectors, prompt library and team playbook |
| Claude workspace setup | 2–4 weeks | Mostly virtual | Workflow owners and key users | Instances built, tested and handed over with training |
Claude Team vs Enterprise: admin and data handling
Anthropic sells Claude to companies through business plans, including Claude Team and Claude Enterprise. Both are built for organizational use with central billing, member management and admin settings, and larger plans generally add deeper identity, security and compliance controls. Plan features change; we configure to your current plan.
During setup we walk your admin through the decisions that matter:
- Who can create and share Projects, and who maintains each one
- Which connectors are approved, and at what permission level
- How Skills are distributed and updated across the team
- What data stays out of Claude entirely, written into your AI acceptable use policy
- Moving company work off personal Claude accounts and onto the business plan
We review Anthropic's current commercial terms and data settings with you instead of relying on assumptions, because both change.
Three example Claude builds by role
Each build is configured in your account during training, from your documents.
Sales deal-desk Project
Instructions hold your ICP, pricing rules and discount guardrails; knowledge holds case studies and product sheets. Reps use it for call prep, proposal first drafts and follow-ups, with CRM access through an approved connector.
Marketing brand-voice Project
Your brand guide, tone rules, approved claims and top-performing past copy, plus a formatting Skill. The team drafts on-brand copy, repurposes long content and checks claims before anything ships.
Promo quote assistant
For promotional products distributors: supplier lines, decoration methods, pricing rules and order minimums in one Project. It drafts quotes and presentation copy for a rep to check.

No coding experience is needed for any module. Claude training moves fast when these are in place before kickoff.
- A named owner for Claude inside your company
- Claude Team or Enterprise seats for participants, or a decision meeting to choose a plan
- Admin access, or an admin on call, during setup sessions
- Three to five real workflows per team that Claude should support
- Source documents for each workflow, with sensitive data removed or approved
- An IT or security contact to approve connectors
- Two weeks of baseline data on the target workflows
- Permission to install the Claude desktop app if your team takes the Cowork or Claude Code modules
- Module 1 completed before later modules, including for people joining a later cohort
How we measure Claude adoption
Before the first session we set a baseline: which workflows Claude should support, how long each takes today and how often people already use Claude. At handover we confirm each Project and Skill passed tests on real tasks.
At 30, 60 and 90 days we review active use of each Project, the workflows that moved, new use cases the team found and time spent on target workflows against the baseline. Where your plan provides admin usage data we use it; otherwise we rely on short check-ins and task logs. Companies rolling Claude out to every team can pair it with our AI upskilling program.
Proof: we build with Claude, not just teach it
Operator Intelligence uses Claude in production client work. For Wizard Leads, a Wizard-affiliated company, we built a React web app powered by Claude Sonnet that monitors 15+ channels, including RFPs, Google Alerts, professional subreddits, inbound email and LinkedIn posts, then aggregates and scores leads. The build took one month; read the Wizard Leads case study.
For ROAM Luggage, Claude executes requested site changes via MCP inside a Shopify development theme, and a team member reviews and publishes. Critical site updates went from days to minutes; see the ROAM Luggage case study.

“OI built this in a month and we now own our own lead aggregation tool.”

Frequently asked questions
Do we need Claude Team or Claude Enterprise?
It depends on seat count, identity and security requirements, and compliance needs. Smaller teams often start on Team, while larger organizations with strict identity or compliance requirements usually evaluate Enterprise. Plan features change, so we compare your requirements against Anthropic's current plans during scoping.
Do non-technical teams need Claude Code?
Usually not at first. Projects, Skills, connectors and Cowork cover most business work. We add Claude Code for teams that handle a lot of files, data cleanup or small internal tools, and teach it with review habits so nothing runs unchecked.
Can you set up Claude for us instead of training our team?
Yes. Our AI Workspace Setup builds and tests Projects, Skills and connectors for you in two to four weeks, then trains the people who will use and maintain them. Most clients combine setup with training.
How long does Claude training take?
A Claude workshop is a half or full day, and the first four syllabus modules typically take about a full day in total. A full team rollout runs two to four weeks, often as a Team AI Bootcamp run on Claude. Measurement continues to day 90.
Is our data safe in Claude?
We configure Claude on your business plan, under your admin's controls, and set connectors to the least access each task needs. We also write data rules into your AI policy so people know what never goes into a prompt.
What does Claude training cost?
Cost depends on the number of participants and modules, how many Projects, Skills and connectors we configure, and in-person versus virtual delivery. We don't publish fixed prices; see how we price and request a scoped proposal.
We already use ChatGPT. Should we switch to Claude?
Not necessarily. Many teams run both and use each where it fits. We train and configure ChatGPT and Gemini as well, and recommend based on your work, not a vendor preference. Our Claude vs ChatGPT for business comparison breaks the choice down by team. If you are moving custom GPTs or Gems anyway, our guide to moving custom GPTs and Gems shows how to make them portable to Claude Skills.
